Aadi Srinivas warns Centre, says BC quota fight will not stop

Hyderabad: Government Whip Aadi Srinivas declared that the Congress agitation for BC reservations would not stop until the reservation bill is included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution.

Speaking ahead of the Jantar Mantar protest in Delhi, Srinivas said the Telangana Congress had entered direct action mode to pressure the Centre over the BC reservation bills. He stated that achieving 42% reservation for BCs in politics, education, employment, and welfare remained the party’s central demand.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, and AICC in-charge for Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan have already arrived in the capital. Party leaders and BC association heads from across districts travelled to Delhi by train to join the protest.

According to Srinivas, the Delhi agitation has also gained support from several BC organisations and NGOs backing the Congress call for quota expansion.
