Adilabad leaders rejoin Congress in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Several Adilabad leaders rejoined the Congress party in Hyderabad on Tuesday after Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud called them back.

Former Adilabad District Congress Committee (DCC) president Sajid Khan, former TPCC general secretary Gandrat Sujatha, and former market committee chairman Sanjeeva Reddy returned to the party. Goud draped Congress scarves over them and confirmed their re-entry.

Their return followed a TPCC executive meeting last week. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka proposed that former leaders should be invited again. The committee adopted the proposal unanimously.

Goud acted on the decision and reached out to district leaders. He convinced the Adilabad group to come back into the party fold. TPCC leaders said Adilabad remains politically significant. They believe the return of experienced members will strengthen the Congress base in the district.
