Hyderabad: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, party floor leader in the Telangana Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi and other party leaders marked the 79th Independence Day by hoisting the national flag at multiple locations in the city.
Asaduddin Owaisi unfurled the tricolour at Madina Circle near the historic Charminar in the presence of local AIMIM leaders, party workers, and area traders. He later hoisted the flag at the Jamiatul Mominath girls’ madrasa in Moghalpura, where burka-clad students sang the national anthem and “Sare Jahan Se Accha” before raising slogans of “Hindustan Hamara Hai” while holding the national flag.
AIMIM leaders mark Independence Day across Hyderabad
Akbaruddin Owaisi hoisted the national flag at the Barrister Fatima Owaisi KG to PG Campus in Bandlaguda, Chandrayangutta constituency, where he has established schools offering free education to underprivileged children. Students, teachers, and staff members participated in the celebrations.
At the party headquarters in Darussalam, AIMIM joint secretary S.A Hussain Anwar led the flag hoisting, attended by party leaders and workers. AIMIM MLAs and leaders also organised Independence Day celebrations at various locations across Hyderabad. The party holds seven Assembly seats, all from the city.
