Hyderabad: BRS MLA Anil Jadhav on Sunday demanded that the state government pay ₹25,000 per acre as compensation to farmers whose crops were destroyed by heavy rains in Adilabad district.
Jadhav toured the flood-hit fields in Bazhar Hathnur mandal, where non-stop rainfall over the past two days left vast stretches of farmland submerged. He met affected farmers on-site and urged them to stay strong despite the damage.
Calling for swift government action, the MLA instructed officials to record every damaged plot and submit a detailed report. “Each farmer must get justice. I’ll press the government to release compensation without delay,” he said.
Jadhav assured farmers that he would stand with them and take up their cause at the highest level. He also directed officials to ensure transparency in the crop loss assessment process.
Local BRS leaders and party workers joined the inspection visit and interacted with farmers across the affected villages.
