HYDERABAD: The Telangana Assembly witnessed a heated exchange as Congress leader Balu Naik lashed out at BRS leader Harish Rao, accusing him of spreading false information and misleading statements. During the debate, Naik directly questioned Rao, asking, “Why are you telling so many lies in the Assembly?”
Balu Naik criticized Harish Rao’s claims regarding the achievements of the previous BRS government, alleging that they were exaggerated and deceptive. He argued that the real state of affairs was far from what Rao was portraying.
Refuting Rao’s claims of development, Naik alleged that under the BRS regime, Telangana witnessed rising debts, failing welfare schemes, and deteriorating farmer conditions. He pointed out that many promises made by the previous government were never fulfilled, leaving citizens disillusioned.
Balu Naik specifically slammed Rao for misleading figures on employment and welfare. He claimed that the jobs Rao credited to the BRS government were, in fact, recruitments initiated by the previous Congress administration.
The Congress leader also criticized the financial mismanagement under the BRS rule, accusing them of pushing the state into a debt trap despite having significant revenues. He alleged that public funds were misused in the name of welfare, while the ground reality was starkly different.
As the debate grew intense, Balu Naik called for transparency and accountability from the ruling party. He demanded that real data be presented in the House, accusing Harish Rao of trying to mislead the public with politically motivated statements.
The exchange highlighted the political tension in the Telangana Assembly, with both parties fiercely defending their positions and trading accusations.
