Bandi Sanjay accuses Telangana Govt of neglecting farmers, poor

BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticized the Telangana Congress government for failing to address farmers’ issues and alleged mismanagement of irrigation projects.

HYDERABAD: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of neglecting farmers and the poor. Speaking at a public meeting as part of the MLC election campaign, he alleged that the ruling party had failed to address key public concerns.

Bandi Sanjay highlighted that BJP workers had endured police lathi charges while fighting for people’s issues but did not receive electoral support. He stated that party workers were questioning why they should continue working for the poor when the BJP was not being voted into power.

Targeting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Bandi Sanjay alleged that the CM was afraid of defeat, which is why he was personally campaigning for the MLC elections. He claimed that the Congress government lacked confidence in its governance and was struggling to maintain public support.

Allegations of Mismanagement in Irrigation and Agriculture

On irrigation issues, Bandi Sanjay accused the Congress government of turning South Telangana into a desert due to poor water management. He alleged that while former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) had already damaged 50% of the Kaleshwaram project, the current government was further pushing it into disarray.

He also criticized the government’s handling of agricultural supplies, alleging that despite the availability of urea, the administration had failed to distribute it properly, causing distress among farmers.

Call for Change in Governance

Urging the public to reject the Congress government, Bandi Sanjay called upon voters to support BJP candidates in the upcoming MLC elections. He emphasized that a change in governance was necessary to resolve issues affecting farmers and the poor.
