Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man and a minor girl died by suicide in Bhadrachalam on Friday after consuming pesticide. The case has shocked residents of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The man, identified as Ravi from Ravigudem in Kukkunoor mandal, was married and had three children. The girl, a Class 8 student from Aswapuram mandal, had gone with him to a local lodge.

Police said the two checked into the lodge on Thursday and consumed pesticide inside the room. Hospital staff confirmed Ravi died soon after being brought in. The girl passed away later while receiving treatment.
Family members alleged that the two had been in a relationship. They claimed the suicide was linked to a failed love affair.
Police are now investigating all aspects of the case. Officials said they will determine further action based on the girl’s age and other legal considerations.
