Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday said Bharat Future City would become a hub for Fortune 500 companies within the next 10 years.
He laid the foundation stone for the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) building and Redial Road-1 (phases one and two) at Meerkhanpet village in Kandukur mandal, Rangareddy district. The event began with a traditional Bhumi Puja, attended by a large crowd.
According to the Chief Minister, the government has crafted bold plans to position Bharat Future City as a global investment destination. “Let us build it in a way that even the world’s best cities discuss it,” he said.
Revanth Reddy highlighted past models of urban growth. He referred to the development of Hyderabad under Quli Qutub Shah, Secunderabad during the Nizam era, and Cyberabad in undivided Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister urged people to learn from history to shape the city’s future.
He criticised opposition parties for spreading false propaganda about the project. Additionally, he denied personal involvement in the land. “The Future City is for future generations, not my family,” he stated.
He appealed to the public not to approach courts over land disputes. The government, he said, was open to resolving all concerns through talks. Moreover, he promised that officials would handle grievances with a generous approach.
Telangana to link Bharat Future City with dry port and bullet train
Revanth Reddy announced that the union government had agreed to develop a bullet train link between Bharat Future City and Amaravati. Furthermore, a dry port would be established, connecting the city to Machilipatnam via a greenfield highway.
He also shared technical features planned for the city. These include an underground power line system and a Skill University. The FCDA building will be ready by December. The authority will operate from this facility three times a month and host meetings with potential investors.
In addition, the Chief Minister instructed Ministers Bhatti Vikramarka and Sridhar Babu to allocate 10 acres of land for Singareni Collieries’ corporate office within the project.
