Hyderabad: Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy said the government will resolve pending Sada Bainama land applications under the Bhu Bharati Act-2025. His announcement followed the Telangana High Court’s decision to lift the stay on their regularisation.
On Tuesday, the minister said the ruling fulfilled the dream of lakhs of poor families waiting for ownership rights. He accused the previous BRS government of misleading people. They collected applications but failed to create a legal mechanism under the Record of Rights (ROR) Act, 2020.
He explained that nearly 9.26 lakh applications remained unresolved due to Dharani restrictions. However, some applicants approached the High Court. The Congress government pursued the matter consistently until the case reached its conclusion.
Bhu Bharati Act to clear pending Sada Bainama applications
Srinivasa Reddy said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was determined to provide a permanent solution. Therefore, the government introduced clear provisions in the Bhu Bharati Act. He assured that every pending application would be cleared soon.
He added that groundwork for implementation was complete. In addition, the government scrapped the Dharani portal introduced by the BRS regime. This fulfilled a key election promise. Officials then studied land management systems in 18 states. Based on those studies, the government framed the Bhu Bharati Act-2025. Srinivasa Reddy described it as a “role model” for resolving land disputes.
The minister said public consultations across districts drew 8.60 lakh fresh applications. Moreover, he reiterated that the government would address each application to ensure justice for farmers and poor families.
