Borabanda junction to be renamed after PJR, announces CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday announced that the Borabanda junction in Hyderabad will soon be renamed as “PJR Borabanda Junction” in honour of the late Congress leader P. Janardhan Reddy.

Speaking during an election campaign event in Borabanda, the Chief Minister said a statue of Janardhan Reddy would also be installed at the junction, and he would personally unveil it.

Revanth vows visible development if Congress wins Jubilee Hills

Revanth Reddy urged voters to support the Congress in the Jubilee Hills Assembly bypoll, stating that a victory would allow the government to demonstrate real development in the constituency.

He recalled the events following PJR’s death, claiming that several political parties, including the TDP and BJP, had set aside rivalries out of respect and supported the idea of nominating a family member unopposed. “Only KCR refused to support that move,” he alleged.

CM slams KCR for ‘breaking tradition’

The Chief Minister accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of violating democratic conventions. “Others showed political maturity by respecting PJR’s family in their time of grief. KCR alone chose confrontation,” Revanth said.

This announcement follows the recent inauguration of the P. Janardhan Reddy Flyover, constructed between Kondapur and the Outer Ring Road, also named in honour of the late leader.
