Hyderabad: A 22-year-old BTech student died in a gas cylinder blast at LIG Colony in Bharti Nagar Division under the Ramachandrapuram Police limits on Thursday.
Gas cylinder blast Ramachandrapuram claims a student’s life
The victim, Anand Swaroop, was changing a household gas cylinder when it exploded. His father, Bhaskar, said the cylinder had leaked earlier, so the family stepped outside for safety.
Anand stayed back to replace it, and the cylinder blew up while he was doing so. He suffered serious burns, and the family rushed him to a nearby hospital. Doctors tried to save him, but he died while receiving treatment.
Police launch probe into explosion
Ramachandrapuram Police filed a case and started an inquiry. Officers said they are checking how the blast happened and gathering clues from the house.
