Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, IAS, held a review meeting on Tuesday to prevent any drinking water shortage in Hyderabad. Acting on the directions of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to take immediate preventive measures.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of the Manjeera, Singur, and Godavari Phase-2–2 and Phase-3–3 drinking water projects at the Secretariat. He ordered officials to speed up land acquisition and pipeline construction to meet water supply targets before the summer.
Coordination to ensure a continuous water supply
Rao urged the Irrigation, Revenue, Forest, and Roads & Buildings departments to coordinate closely and clear pending issues quickly. He instructed all departments to work together to maintain an uninterrupted drinking water supply for residents of Hyderabad and nearby areas.
