Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday directed district collectors to complete land acquisition for national highway projects by the end of this month. He chaired a video conference from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat along with Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao to review district-wise progress.
Court cases and disputed titles
The Chief Minister instructed collectors to immediately send details of lands under litigation to the government. For lands with title disputes, he directed officials to deposit compensation amounts and take possession without delay. Moreover, he emphasised that every case must receive top priority to prevent bottlenecks in road construction.
Deadline ahead of Dasara
Revanth Reddy insisted that all pending land acquisition be finished before the Dasara festival. He warned that any delay would attract strict action. Furthermore, he assured that he would personally monitor progress through regular district-wise reviews.
Highways vital for development
The CM underlined that expanding national highways is critical for Telangana’s growth and improving transport connectivity. “These projects are essential for development, and there is no room for delay,” he told officials. He added that timely completion would benefit both commerce and commuters, making the effort a direct boost to economic activity.
