Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday placed officials across Telangana on high alert following heavy rain forecasts. He directed all district collectors and departmental heads to remain vigilant and ensure rapid response across affected areas.
Revanth Reddy held a high-level review at the Secretariat, where he called for seamless coordination between departments. He said preventive measures must be in place to avoid disruptions, especially in low-lying zones.
The Chief Minister instructed GHMC officials and district administrations to notify residents in flood-prone areas. He stressed that officials must stay on-site and personally monitor relief efforts.
Given the likelihood of sustained rainfall over the next two to three days, he asked collectors to work in tandem with local agencies. Regular assessments were mandated to track emerging risks.
He also emphasised the need to protect both property and lives. “Officials must take all steps to prevent loss and respond swiftly,” he said.
Revanth Reddy called for real-time updates from districts and ordered disaster teams to remain on standby. He urged officials to maintain close communication with senior leadership and act without delay in case of emergencies.
