HYDERABAD: Chief Minister CM Revanth Reddy gave an emotional response to a letter of appreciation from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, stating that the role of Chief Minister is not a personal achievement but a great responsibility entrusted by the people.
In a post shared on social media, Revanth Reddy said that receiving encouragement from a leader like Rahul Gandhi was not only an honour for him but also a reflection of the trust of every citizen of Telangana. He emphasised that he sees the Chief Minister’s post not as a seat of power, but as a duty to serve the public.
He further stated that upholding the trust the Congress party has earned in Telangana and fulfilling its promises to the people remains his top priority. Thanking Rahul Gandhi for his kind words, he added that the message serves as a reminder of the increased responsibility the state government bears.
In his letter, Rahul Gandhi had praised the Telangana government’s transparent governance, welfare schemes, and Revanth Reddy’s leadership. Responding humbly, the Chief Minister said that any success achieved is a result of collective public effort and the shared leadership of the party.
Leaders and workers of the Telangana Congress also lauded Revanth Reddy’s response, describing it as a reflection of his humility and sincerity as a public servant. Political observers view the exchange as a demonstration of the strong ties and mutual trust within the Congress party.
Dear @RahulGandhi Ji ,
I read your letter in the historic city of Hiroshima, Japan. Fortuitously, I read your words just as I was about to visit the holy site of Mahatma Gandhi ji’s statue here.
Deeply touched by your words, and the inspiring call for action.
We will go… pic.twitter.com/Rwk6l7lQCs
