HYDERABAD: Congress leader Addanki Dayakar has strongly countered recent comments made by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) regarding All India Congress Committee (AICC) Telangana In-Charge Meenakshi Natarajan.
In a video statement released on Saturday, Dayakar criticized KTR for dismissing Natarajan’s statements as a “big joke,” asserting that her remarks have unsettled BRS leaders. He defended Natarajan, stating that she represents the ideological culture and traditions of the Congress party.
Allegations Against BRS Leadership
Dayakar further alleged that BRS leaders have been involved in the misuse of public funds, citing reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). He highlighted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had challenged such leaders, suggesting that KTR’s criticisms stem from political frustration over growing opposition.
Defending Revanth Reddy and Congress Ideology
Emphasizing Revanth Reddy’s humble background as a farmer’s son, Dayakar pointed to his political rise and his longstanding opposition to former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). He urged KTR to refrain from attacking CM Revanth Reddy, accusing the BRS of being a party that struggles to present the truth in public and private discussions.
Concluding his statement, Dayakar reaffirmed that Meenakshi Natarajan embodies the ideological framework of the Congress party, emphasizing that BRS leaders should focus on governance rather than attacking Congress leadership.
