Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) accused the Congress of betraying every section of society in its two years of governance. Speaking at a public meeting in the Reliance Jubilee Gated Community under the Shaikpet division, he urged voters in the Jubilee Hills by-election to reject the Congress based on its failures and empty promises.
KTR criticised the state’s Congress government for running what he called a “bulldozer regime,” especially targeting poor communities. He pointed out that for the first time in Telangana’s history, the government had no minority representation despite having six MLC positions and demanded answers from Rahul Gandhi on why minorities were denied representation.
He alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was demolishing poor people’s homes while sharing contracts with BJP MPs. According to KTR, the Congress and the BJP are working hand in glove to weaken strong regional parties like the BRS.
KTR: Congress betrayed all sections, bulldozed minority hopes
KTR accused Rahul Gandhi of remaining silent while his party implemented bulldozer policies similar to BJP-ruled states. He said Telangana was the first to implement the new Waqf Act that Congress once opposed, and asked whether Rahul was even aware of this contradiction.
Recalling the BRS’s contributions, KTR said the party ensured 24/7 power, improved urban infrastructure, and built Telangana into a peaceful, inclusive, global city. Under KCR’s leadership, 204 minority residential schools were established and overseas scholarships worth ₹20 lakh were provided to deserving students.
KTR called on educated voters to make an informed choice in the bypoll, accusing Congress of failing students, farmers, women, and government employees alike. He urged voters to compare BRS’s decade of development with Congress’s two years of deception before casting their vote.
