Hyderabad: Telangana Congress president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday said the party would win the Jubilee Hills by-election with a large majority. He cited exit poll results that favoured Congress.
Goud told reporters that voters had clearly backed Congress candidate Naveen Yadav. He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy led the campaign from the start and kept the party united throughout.
He thanked party workers and supporters who worked for Naveen Yadav’s campaign. Goud said their efforts would lead to a strong victory.
He also claimed the Congress succeeded in explaining the government’s development and welfare programmes to the voters in Jubilee Hills.
