HYDERABAD: In a heated session of the Telangana Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka criticized the Dharani portal, labeling it a “wicked law” that undermines land rights. He asserted that the previous BRS government nullified rights acquired through various legislations and struggles. Vikramarka emphasized that the people entrusted the current government with power to abolish the Dharani portal, as they had pledged to discard it into the Bay of Bengal. He further questioned opposition members, invoking the slogan from the armed struggle, “Isn’t the land for the one who tills it?”
