Hyderabad: Five members of a single family have gone missing under mysterious circumstances from Siddipet, leaving behind a note suggesting financial distress.

The disappearance occurred in Qaderpur area of Siddipet town. The family—55-year-old V Balakrishna, his wife 50-year-old Maha Lakshmi, their son 30-year-old Sharavan Kumar, and daughters Kavya (30) and Sreesha (20)—left their mobile phones behind and vanished last week. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

After repeated attempts to trace them failed, relatives lodged a formal complaint with Siddipet Town Police on Monday.

A letter found in their home indicated that the family had borrowed money from various individuals and were under pressure to repay. The note said they were leaving without informing anyone, due to the mounting stress.

Police have launched an investigation and are treating the case as high priority.
