HYDERABAD: A 15-year-old girl from Mallapur village in Boinpalli mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district, who passed away just ten days ago, has been named the top scorer of her school in the Class 10 examination results released on Wednesday.
The student, Akula Nagachaitanya, was enrolled in the local government high school in her village. She reportedly died on 17 April following a brief illness.
In a tragic turn of events, when the results were announced, Nagachaitanya was found to have secured 510 marks out of 600, making her the highest scorer in her school.
Her grieving parents were overcome with emotion on learning of their late daughter’s achievement, which came too late for her to witness.
The incident has cast a shadow over what would have been a moment of pride, highlighting the bittersweet nature of academic success under tragic circumstances.
