Hiroshima Assembly honours Telangana CM with ceremonial welcome

HYDERABAD: Hiroshima Prefectural Assembly Speaker Takashi Nakamoto formally honoured Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his TelanganaRising delegation with a ceremonial welcome at the Prefectural Legislative Assembly Hall on Monday.

The ceremony marked a symbolic moment of respect and dialogue as the two sides held wide-ranging discussions on peace, sustainability, and inclusive prosperity. The Telangana team included IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials such as Jayesh Ranjan, V. Sheshadri, Ajith Reddy, and Vishnu Vardhan Reddy.

As part of the formalities, Speaker Nakamoto led the Chief Minister and Minister Sridhar Babu into the Assembly Chamber and invited them to his chair, underscoring the spirit of honour and camaraderie.

Addressing the legislators, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy described Hiroshima as a city of hope and resilience. “It is an honour to be here. Your city stands for what is possible when people act together. Telangana too is built on values of struggle, hope, and achievement through responsibility and vision,” he said.

He stressed that his visit was not merely about seeking investments but about building a partnership rooted in shared values and a commitment to global well-being.

“Telangana can be your gateway to India and a platform for global expansion,” he said, proposing a lasting partnership between Hiroshima and Hyderabad.

The delegation later participated in a roundtable with Hiroshima’s Chamber of Commerce leaders and visited the Gandhi Memorial, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, and the Atomic Bomb Dome as part of their symbolic outreach and goodwill tour.
