Hyderabad: Union Minister Kishan Reddy said there is still no clear trend on which party will win the Jubilee Hills bypoll. He made the remarks on Thursday at the ‘Meet the Press’ event in Somajiguda.
Reddy stated that public anger against the Congress government had risen sharply during its two years in power. He also pointed out that the BRS had fallen to third place in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
Jubilee Hills bypoll: Kishan Reddy attacks Congress and BRS
The minister said the Jubilee Hills constituency still lacked even basic development. Moreover, survey findings show that voters remain unsure about which party to support.
He alleged that GHMC did not have enough funds for streetlights, calling it proof of the government’s financial failure. Furthermore, he criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and his ministers for ignoring the promises made during the election campaign.
Kishan Reddy demanded that both Congress and BRS take responsibility for Jubilee Hills’ backwardness. In addition, he asked the Congress to clarify its position on the guarantee schemes.
The minister said most rice under the state’s subsidy plan came from the central government. “How can Revanth Reddy say he will stop the scheme?” he asked.
He also accused Congress leaders of using the free bus scheme as a diversion. “They act as if it solves every problem, which only shows their foolishness,” he remarked.
