Kavitha to intensify pressure on Telangana government over Group-1 issue

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi Chief K Kavitha on Thursday announced a series of programmes to increase pressure on the Telangana government over the Group-1 recruitment issue. She said the future of students clearly depended on the Division Bench verdict on October 15.

Speaking after a round-table meeting at Somajiguda Press Club, Kavitha explained that the campaign began with tributes to student martyrs. “We started this fight in their memory and will continue it until justice is done,” she said. Moreover, she emphasized that the protests would remain peaceful yet determined.

Kavitha accused the government of mishandling the recruitment process from the notification stage to the results. She reminded reporters that she had already raised these lapses in the Legislative Council. However, she said the government ignored every warning and continued to act carelessly.

Furthermore, she said the round-table meeting aimed to expose administrative failures and build stronger public pressure. “We want citizens to understand exactly where the government went wrong,” she added. Kavitha also appreciated the media and social media for amplifying student concerns and forcing accountability.

In addition, she pointed out that continuous public pressure could compel the government to rethink its approach. According to her, the authorities might cancel the present appointments and conduct a fresh examination. “We will keep fighting until fair recruitment takes place,” she asserted.

Later, Kavitha said her team would deliver the round-table resolution directly to both the Governor and the Chief Minister. She further promised full support to Telangana students through Jagruthi, vowing never to stay silent if injustice occurred.
