KCR Assembly Strategy

HYDERABAD: BRS chief and Opposition Leader K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has directed party MLAs and MLCs to take an aggressive stance against the Congress government in the Assembly and Legislative Council. The instructions were given during the BRS Legislature Party (BRSLP) meeting held on Tuesday under KCR’s leadership.

Key Directives Issued by KCR

– Ensuring Attendance: BRS MLAs and MLCs must attend Assembly and Council sessions on time.
– Fighting for Telangana People: The party must relentlessly fight for public issues without compromise.
– Exposing Government Corruption: BRS leaders must highlight the alleged corruption and anti-people policies of the Congress government.
– Countering False Allegations: The ruling party’s accusations against BRS should be strongly refuted.

Issues to Be Raised in Assembly & Council

KCR instructed party legislators to bring up several pressing concerns:

– Farmer Issues: Drying crops, power shortages, lack of irrigation water, and damaged motors must be highlighted.
– Drinking Water Crisis: The government’s failure to ensure adequate drinking water supply should be questioned.
– BC & SC Reservations: The party should strongly support BC and SC reservation bills.
– Gurukul Schools Deterioration: The declining condition of Gurukul schools needs to be addressed.
– Pending Government Benefits: Retirement benefits of government employees, pending DA payments, and PRC implementation should be discussed.
– Women’s Welfare: The government should be held accountable for not fulfilling promises made to women.
– Congress’ Deceptive Governance: The misleading approach of the Congress government in implementing the Six Guarantees should be exposed.
– Student Scholarships: The delay in releasing Overseas Scholarships for students must be questioned.
– Declining Healthcare Standards: The falling standards in the state’s healthcare system should be highlighted.
– Dalit Bandhu Scheme Suspension: The government must be asked why the Dalit Bandhu scheme was halted.
– Sheep & Fish Distribution: The Assembly and Council should demand the full implementation of sheep rearing and fish distribution schemes.

KCR emphasized that BRS members must act as the voice of Telangana’s people and question the hardships faced under Congress rule. He urged them to challenge the government in both Houses and expose its failures.

Strategic Coordination for Assembly Sessions

The BRSLP meeting, which lasted for nearly three hours, discussed several key issues. KCR announced that deputy leaders would be appointed to ensure better coordination among BRS members in the Assembly and Council for more effective opposition.

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and other party MLAs and MLCs attended the meeting.
