KCR mourns Gujarat plane crash, urges compensation and medical aid

Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao expressed profound grief on Wednesday over the deadly plane crash in Gujarat, calling it a deeply distressing tragedy that claimed numerous innocent lives.

The incident, which saw a passenger aircraft plummet into a residential area in Ahmedabad, has left a trail of devastation, killing travellers, medics, and local residents. In his message, KCR said he was “shocked beyond words” by the scale of human loss and extended heartfelt condolences to every family reeling from the disaster.

He urged both the central and Gujarat state governments to promptly announce ex-gratia payments for the families of those killed and ensure that the injured receive top-quality medical care without delay. “The state must stand by the grieving families not only in spirit but in meaningful support,” he added.

KCR’s remarks come amid a wave of mourning and solidarity across the country following the catastrophic crash, which has stirred nationwide concern and sorrow.
