Konda Murali submits reply to Telangana Congress disciplinary committee

Hyderabad: Congress leader Konda Murali appeared before the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s disciplinary committee on Sunday and submitted a written reply to the notice issued to him. Murali, who is the husband of Forest Minister Konda Surekha, had faced complaints from several Warangal district MLAs and leaders over critical remarks he allegedly made against party members.

The disciplinary committee, headed by MP Mallu Ravi, had earlier sought an explanation from Murali. A second notice was served recently directing him to give a written clarification. Speaking to the media after his appearance at Gandhi Bhavan, Murali said Congress was “in his blood” and he would abide by the party’s directions. He added that his goal was to see Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister and that he would work with all leaders to ensure Congress victory in the upcoming local body polls.
