Hyderabad: BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on the Congress government over its flagship “six guarantees,” accusing it of failing to deliver on pre-poll promises.
Posting on social media platform X, KTR shared a recent interview of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka with a leading media house, captioning it “From grand promises to monumental failures.” He recalled Bhatti’s appeal to Telangana voters before the elections to “keep the Congress guarantee cards safe” and questioned whether those assurances had been met.
KTR challenges Congress over ‘six guarantees’
KTR alleged that the Congress had promised to fulfil each guarantee within 100 days of coming to power but was now, two years into its term, claiming that all promises had been met. “Can Bhatti go to any village in Telangana and say the same to the people?” he asked, adding that Congress leaders were already facing public backlash for their “lies.”
He further challenged Bhatti and cabinet ministers to tour villages and repeat the claim that almost all six guarantees had been implemented. “If you do so and people don’t chase you away, I will quit politics,” KTR declared in his post.
