KTR hails Kakatiya Mega Textile Park as engine of Warangal’s revival

Hyderabad: Former Telangana minister and BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao described the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park as a living testament to the state’s industrial growth between 2014 and 2023.

Recalling Warangal’s past, KTR said the city was once known for the Azam Jahi Mills, which not only employed 10,000 people but also powered Warangal and Hanamkonda. He said the mill’s closure was a result of negligence by leaders in the undivided Andhra Pradesh.

He credited Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s vision for initiating the textile park, aimed at restoring Warangal’s industrial identity and securing local employment. KTR stated that the seed planted back then is now growing steadily.

The park has begun to offer thousands of jobs to local youth, he said. Companies like Ganesha, Ganesha Ecosphere, Youngone, and Kitex have already launched their units at the site.

KTR underlined that the textile park symbolises the BRS government’s commitment to balanced regional development and job creation in Telangana’s own statehood era.
