HYDERABAD: During the concluding day of the Telangana Assembly’s budget sessions, a resolution on organ donation was introduced and discussed. Supporting former minister Harish Rao’s remarks, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) made a significant appeal to all Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to commit to organ donation.
KTR emphasized that while he could not speak on behalf of his party members, he personally endorsed organ donation. He highlighted that as representatives of two to three lakh voters in their respective constituencies, MLAs have a duty to set an example for the public. KTR proposed initiating an organ donation drive within the Assembly, stating, “I will be the first to sign up for organ donation, and I urge my fellow MLAs to follow suit.”
