HYDERABAD, February 5: Tribal Welfare Minister Seethakka criticised Congress MLC Teenmar Mallanna, also known as Chintapandu Naveen, for burning the Caste Census report. She condemned the act as deplorable and questioned his commitment to the Congress Party.
Minister Seethakka reminded that significant efforts were made to secure Naveen’s victory and urged him to decide whether he remains with the party. She also responded strongly to BRS MLAs, including Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Padma Rao, who alleged errors in the caste census during the Assembly session. She pointed out that these members did not participate in the survey and, therefore, lack the moral right to comment on it.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Minister Seethakka stated that the Congress Government conducted the caste census for the first time in the country, marking a historic achievement and serving as a guidepost for India.
A video of Teenmar Mallanna burning the caste census report has gone viral on social media, further intensifying the controversy.
