Hyderabad: State Minister Vakiti Srihari inspected the construction of a 150-bed hospital on the outskirts of Makthal town on Thursday morning. He directed officials and contractors to complete the project quickly and maintain quality.
The government is building the hospital on 10 acres along Raichur Road at a cost of ₹44 crore.
Makthal to get 150-bed hospital with nursing college plan
Srihari said Makthal, located on the national highway, records frequent road accidents but lacks advanced medical facilities. He noted that residents often travel to Mahbubnagar, Raichur, or Hyderabad for treatment, which caused several deaths.
He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy approved the project after he raised the issue. Authorities secured land and clearances to launch the work.
Srihari also announced plans to establish a nursing college within the hospital campus to ensure adequate medical staff in the future. Large numbers of party leaders and workers joined him during the inspection.
