Hyderabad: Telangana Congress spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin on Sunday alleged that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) orchestrated a staged roadshow in Jubilee Hills using hired crowds from outside the constituency. He accused BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao of misleading voters by presenting a fabricated image of public support.
Speaking during a door-to-door campaign in Paramount Colony and IAS Colony in Shaikpet division, Nizamuddin said the Congress was relying on authentic engagement with residents rather than publicity events filled with outsiders. He described KTR as “a fake leader staging fake shows” and criticised the BRS for what he called desperation tactics.
“It is shameful that a party that ruled for ten years without results is now paying people to pretend they support them,” Nizamuddin told reporters. He claimed that while BRS events appeared large, they lacked genuine local participation.
In contrast, he said the Congress campaign, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had received strong and spontaneous support across Jubilee Hills. “People are showing up in large numbers—youth, families, and residents—because they have seen real development,” he said.

He credited the Congress government with achieving visible progress in just 20 months, citing improvements in welfare, recruitment, and infrastructure. “In a decade, BRS could not fix drainage, water, or roads. Congress has already delivered results where they failed,” he said.
Nizamuddin asserted that the public could now see through the BRS’s strategy of loud slogans without delivery. “They create noise. We create change. That’s the contrast voters are seeing,” he said.
During his outreach, Nizamuddin interacted with residents, traders, and senior citizens, many of whom he said appreciated the improvements under Congress. He pointed to cleaner streets, new roads, and better lighting as signs that governance was finally reaching citizens.
Calling the Jubilee Hills by-election a referendum on credibility, he said the outcome would highlight the difference between “imported support and real trust.” He urged people to back Congress candidate V. Naveen Yadav, describing him as a grounded and energetic leader. “Naveen Yadav represents genuine change. With public support, he will win decisively,” he added.
