Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy chaired a high-level review meeting on Operation Sindoor, issuing comprehensive instructions to ensure full emergency preparedness and heightened vigilance across departments.
The Chief Minister urged officials to stand united with the armed forces, stating that the current situation called for collective responsibility beyond political lines. He emphasised that there should be no room for politics or party considerations during this period.
As part of the Operation Sindoor action plan, all government employees in essential services were ordered to remain on duty, with all leaves cancelled. Ministers and officials were also directed to stay available, and any scheduled foreign tours were to be immediately withdrawn.
Revanth Reddy warned that strict action would be taken against government employees making unauthorised statements to the media or on social media. A dedicated 24-hour toll-free number will be introduced to provide uninterrupted public support.
He instructed security agencies to detain undocumented residents from countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. A real-time information system will be set up at the Command Control Centre to coordinate all emergency operations.
The Chief Minister ordered strict enforcement against anyone attempting to disrupt peace and security. Blood banks were asked to maintain reserve supplies, and hospitals were instructed to ensure availability of emergency medicines and beds. Coordination with the Red Cross was also mandated.
Departments were told to maintain adequate food stockpiles. He stressed the importance of cybersecurity readiness and called for the immediate establishment of a special cell to counter the spread of fake news, warning that misinformation could trigger public anxiety. Offenders would face severe action.
CCTV surveillance in the jurisdiction of Hyderabad’s three police commissionerates will be integrated with the Command Control Room. Security was to be enhanced in all district centres and sensitive zones, as well as near foreign embassies and IT companies in Hyderabad.
Revanth Reddy instructed police to maintain high alert in the city and consult peace committees if required. Law enforcement was directed to keep close watch on history-sheeters and past offenders to prevent any law and order issues.
