Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao said political leaders across the state were losing faith in the Congress and BRS, and were looking toward the BJP, drawn by its development and welfare initiatives at the Centre.
Speaking during his visit to Asifabad on Wednesday, Ramchander Rao said that the concept of a “double engine government” was the only viable path to development in states. He welcomed leaders from other parties to join the BJP, saying the party was open to all who believed in its vision.
He accused the previous BRS government, under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, of massive corruption in the Kaleshwaram Project. “For ten years, the Kalvakuntla family treated Kaleshwaram like an ATM,” he alleged.
Ramchander Rao demands CBI probe into Kaleshwaram corruption
He claimed that the alleged farm house MLAs’ poaching episode was orchestrated under KCR’s direction and demanded to know why neither the ex-CM nor his ministers had been arrested yet.
Ramchander Rao urged the Revanth Reddy government to order a full-fledged CBI investigation into the financial irregularities surrounding Kaleshwaram. He warned that public patience with political corruption was wearing thin and called for accountability at the highest levels.
