Revanth has conceded defeat in Jubilee Hills: KTR

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Friday claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had already conceded defeat in the Jubilee Hills by-election by declaring it was not a referendum on his rule. Addressing a roadshow at Vengalrao Nagar as part of the campaign, KTR said the Congress chief had made that statement due to the strong anti-incumbency sentiment among voters.

KTR argued that Revanth Reddy’s remarks clearly signalled that Congress had accepted its impending loss in Jubilee Hills. He challenged the Chief Minister to showcase his 24 months in office and seek a verdict from the public, if he had the courage. “Since he has no achievements to show, he is trying to divert attention,” KTR said.

Revanth failed on all six guarantees, says KTR

Accusing the Congress government of deceiving all sections, KTR said Revanth Reddy had nothing credible to present after two years in power. “From students and farmers to youth and industrialists, everyone has been betrayed,” he said. He questioned whether people should vote for a party that had pushed Hyderabad into decline.

KTR also criticised Congress for making empty promises in Jubilee Hills. He reminded voters that the party made similar claims during the Cantonment by-election but failed to carry out a single development work after winning. “We are seeking votes based on ten years of visible development. Revanth, on the other hand, wants votes based on the Congress regime before his time,” he said.

He credited the previous BRS government with placing Telangana’s economy at the top nationally and claimed Revanth had led the state into decline.

Hydra demolitions target only the poor

KTR accused the Revanth-led government of targeting poor families in the name of the Hydra operation. “Thousands of poor people’s homes have been razed, while illegal constructions by ministers were left untouched,” he said.

Calling for public retaliation at the ballot box, he urged voters to defeat the Congress in the November 11 bypoll if they wanted the bulldozers to stay out of their localities. During the roadshow, KTR used LED screens to display visuals of allegedly illegal properties owned by Congress ministers. He dared Revanth to demolish those structures if he had the courage.

He added that Hydra benefited no one and was purely a vendetta campaign. Criticising the Congress for invoking N.T. Rama Rao’s name, KTR said the party had no moral right to do so. “This is the same Congress that removed NTR from office and replaced his name with Rajiv Gandhi’s at the Shamshabad airport,” he said. Installing NTR’s statues now would only disturb his soul, he added.

He concluded by saying the Congress had become synonymous with misrule and corruption, and must be rejected by the people.
