Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with his wife Geetha and family members, performed special puja to Lord Ganesha at their residence in Jubilee Hills on Wednesday to mark Vinayaka Chavithi.
Vedic priests conducted the rituals and blessed the Chief Minister, his family, and guests with teertha prasadam. The puja was attended by the Chief Minister’s daughter Naimisha Reddy and her husband, senior officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, and several key leaders of the Congress party.
CM Revanth Reddy prays for prosperity of Telangana
Speaking after the ceremony, Revanth Reddy said he prayed to Lord Vighneshwara for peace, prosperity, and overall well-being of the people of Telangana. “May Lord Ganesha bless the state with abundance and remove all obstacles on the path of progress,” he said.
Vinayaka Chavithi was celebrated across Telangana with traditional fervour, despite heavy rains disrupting arrangements in many parts of the state. Devotees thronged pandals in Hyderabad and districts from early morning, while district administrations made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth celebrations and immersion processions over the coming days.
The Chief Minister, who had earlier instructed officials to maintain high alert in view of the rains, said the government was committed to supporting the cultural and spiritual traditions of Telangana.
