HYDERABAD, January 31: A major burglary took place in Peddapalli district, where thieves targeted a locked house in Gautami Nagar, Godavarikhani. Unidentified individuals broke the lock and stole Rs 16 lakh in cash from the residence.
The house belonged to Rammohan Rao, a retired Singareni worker, who was away in Hyderabad for his wife’s cancer treatment. When he returned home early in the morning, he found the door broken and the cash missing from the cupboard.
Rammohan Rao immediately lodged a complaint with NTPC police. A fingerprint analysis team was deployed, and police have registered a case. An investigation is underway to trace the culprits.
