Hyderabad: US airline Southwest Airlines will set up a global innovation centre in Hyderabad, entering Telangana’s expanding technology sector. The announcement came after company representatives met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the decision and praised Southwest Airlines for selecting Hyderabad as its hub. He said Hyderabad’s rapid growth and investor-friendly policies continue to attract global companies.
He also presented the Telangana Rising 2047 vision to the airline’s leadership. The plan aims to make Telangana a $3 trillion economy by 2047, the centenary of India’s independence.
State IT Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan joined the meeting, along with the airline’s delegation.
