Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar announced a new schedule for the inquiry into Telangana defection MLAs and fixed fresh dates to continue the pending proceedings.
He arranged two consecutive hearing days to complete cross-examination. On November 19, Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkata Rao and Jagtial MLA Sanjay will appear before him. On November 20, Banswada MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Serilingampally MLA Arekapudi Gandhi will undergo questioning. Each MLA received a dedicated slot to ensure clear documentation.
The Speaker directed legal teams on both sides to conduct direct questioning. He will record the statements and move the inquiry to the next procedural stage after reviewing the submissions.

Officials said the inquiry advanced after the Speaker examined earlier filings and adjusted the timetable. They added that the updated schedule will help the Assembly complete the process efficiently and maintain an organised record for further action.
