Hyderabad: Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu defended the Telangana Cabinet against opposition criticism, describing the allegations as baseless and driven by frustration.
Reacting to the remarks, Sridhar Babu said the people of Telangana “know very well who ruled like Dandupalya,” referring to the opposition’s earlier term in power. He accused former leaders of spreading false narratives to hide their failures and mislead the public.
He stated that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s Cabinet was focused on collective decisions, transparent governance, and value-based growth. Dismissing rumours of internal rifts, he quipped that those circulating such stories “should perhaps write for films,” given their imagination.
Sridhar Babu highlights Telangana’s economic performance
Sridhar Babu said Telangana secured investments worth ₹3.2 lakh crore in the past 20 months. He added that the state recorded ₹12,864 crore in FDI during the first half of this financial year — a 33% rise over the same period last year. Hyderabad, he noted, ranked among India’s top three urban FDI destinations.
He further explained that the state’s Industrial Gross Value Added (GVA) increased from ₹2.46 lakh crore in 2023–24 to ₹2.77 lakh crore in 2024–25, an 8.68% growth rate — higher than the national average of 6.2%.
Calling the opposition’s remarks “malicious propaganda,” Sridhar Babu urged rival leaders to stop spreading negativity and instead help strengthen Telangana’s progress. He warned that people would soon give a “fitting reply” to such tactics.
