Hyderabad: Former minister and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Thursday accused officials of negligence and said poor supervision by the government caused hardship for flood-hit residents.
He toured Kaachibowli and Nallagutta localities along Minister Road, where water entered houses during recent rains. He met residents, assured them of his support, and told them not to lose hope.

Yadav said GHMC and Hyderabad water board officers failed to take precautionary steps despite repeated warnings. He pointed out that the government spent crores of rupees on stormwater drains but garbage still blocked the nalas.
“Even though the Chief Minister holds the municipal portfolio, people see no change,” he said. He demanded the government review nala desilting works and take corrective measures.
