HYDERABAD: The Telangana Legislative Assembly has been adjourned until Friday, March 21st. Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar announced that the session will reconvene at 10:00 AM on that day. Earlier today, at 11:14 AM, Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the state budget for the fiscal year 2025-26. The budget speech lasted for one hour and forty-three minutes.
The proposed budget totals ₹3,04,965 crore, with revenue expenditure set at ₹2,26,982 crore and capital expenditure at ₹36,504 crore. Significant allocations include ₹40,232 crore for Scheduled Castes (SC) welfare, ₹24,439 crore for the agriculture sector, and ₹23,373 crore for irrigation projects.
