Hyderabad: Telangana cabinet meeting is set to be held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by 2 pm at the Secretariat, with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, senior ministers, Chief Secretary, and key government advisors expected to attend.
Principal Secretaries and Special Chief Secretaries were directed four days ago to send department-wise agenda points to the General Administration Department ahead of the session. The cabinet is expected to deliberate primarily on the caste survey report. The status of the BC ordinance, recently referred by Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to the Attorney General in Delhi for legal opinion, will also be reviewed.
The agenda includes the proposed Gig Workers Welfare Bill and a final decision on the new state-level gosala (cattle shelter) policy. The cabinet will likely approve new posts for government junior colleges across Telangana.
A decision is expected on appointments to the Fishermen Cooperative Societies. With kharif sowing underway, the cabinet will also assess urea availability and demand.
The cabinet will review funding gaps and construction status in Indiramma housing across districts. Separately, the commission led by Justice P. Chandra Ghose may submit its report on the Kaleshwaram project today, which, along with audit findings into irregularities in state power utilities, will be taken up for examination.
