Hyderabad: Telangana employees Joint Action Committee (JAC) chairman V. Lachhireddy on Friday thanked the State government for introducing the Bhu Bharati Act – 2025 and appointing Grama Palana Officers (GPOs). He said both steps would strengthen the rural revenue system and rebuild public trust.
Telangana employees JAC thanks govt for revenue reforms
Lachhireddy said the revenue department had lost credibility in the past. According to him, the new Act and staff appointments will restore efficiency and ensure timely services for citizens and farmers.
He conveyed gratitude on behalf of the JAC, the Deputy Collectors Association, the Telangana Tahsildars Association (TGTA), and the Telangana Revenue Services Association (TGRSA). He thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy for their leadership.
The JAC chief welcomed the creation of selection grade deputy collector posts, which he said was a first in India. He also hailed the clearance of long-pending promotions, the move to fill vacant surveyor posts, and the decision to allow licensed surveyors.
“These measures will strengthen the system in villages and improve services for the public and farmers,” he said.
Revenue staff vow improved services under govt’s support
Lachhireddy said CM Revanth Reddy’s assurance of support had boosted employee morale. “With GPO appointments and promotions, staff will now work with double the enthusiasm to serve people,” he added.
He, along with Deputy Collectors Association general secretary K. Ramakrishna, TGTA leaders Ramulu and Paka Ramesh, TGRSA leaders Banala Ram Reddy and Biksham, TGTA women’s wing president Radha, and other representatives, met the Chief Minister and extended greetings.
