The Telangana government has urged free electricity scheme beneficiaries to update their details and comply with regulations to continue receiving benefits. Non-compliance may lead to service disruptions.

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has issued an important alert to beneficiaries of the free electricity scheme, urging them to update their details and adhere to regulations to continue availing the benefit. Officials have warned that failure to meet the eligibility criteria may result in disruptions to the free power supply.

Authorities have specifically urged farmers and economically weaker sections to verify and update their information with the electricity department. The government has emphasized that discrepancies or non-compliance with scheme guidelines could lead to disqualification from the benefit.

To ensure transparency and prevent misuse, officials have reiterated that only eligible consumers will continue receiving free electricity. This initiative is part of the state’s efforts to streamline subsidy distribution and enhance accountability.

Beneficiaries are advised to visit their respective electricity offices and confirm that their details are correctly recorded to avoid any interruptions in service. The government has assured that the scheme will remain available to those who meet the prescribed criteria.
