Hyderabad: Congress MLC Addanki Dayakar on Thursday launched a scathing attack on former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, claiming Telangana would have become like Nepal or Bangladesh if KCR had returned to power for a third term.
Addressing the media, Dayakar responded to KCR’s recent remarks made during a meeting with party leaders at his farmhouse. He said KCR had no moral right to accuse Congress of deceiving the people when his own daughter Kavitha had distanced herself from the BRS.
Dayakar accused KCR of pushing Telangana into financial ruin, leaving behind a debt burden of over ₹8 lakh crore. He credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with beginning the task of restoring both financial and administrative order in the state.
He said KCR should acknowledge the damage caused during his tenure instead of launching baseless attacks. According to Dayakar, CM Revanth is working to improve Telangana’s economic and social conditions.
Criticising BRS leaders, he likened their behavior to “unpredictable and demons,” and said the public would not be swayed by KCR’s rhetoric. He also questioned the political maturity of BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, based on their recent statements.
Dayakar warned that if BRS continued its current approach, the party could face total political irrelevance in Telangana.
