Telangana Rising 2047 plans to be unveiled at state festival

Hyderabad: The state government said it would present several policy announcements during the Telangana Rising 2047 celebrations on December 8 and 9. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka shared the plan at the 47th SLBC quarterly bankers’ meeting in Begumpet on Tuesday. He also asked banks to deepen their role in Telangana’s development path.

He stated that the administration set a target of a three-trillion-dollar economy by 2047. The roadmap aimed at 13% annual GDP growth. Since electricity demand rose every year, the government placed steady emphasis on dependable supply. He added that the rural economy, infrastructure building, MSME support, and women’s self-help groups held the key to long-term progress. Because stronger lending improved incomes, he urged banks to widen credit to SHGs and MSMEs.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the proposal to lay 13,000 kilometres of internal roads would reshape the state’s economic landscape. He added that banks could use this work to increase priority-sector lending. He also called for higher term lending in agriculture. With more sustained credit, he said schemes such as crop loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa, irrigation projects, and free round-the-clock power would reach more farmers. As a result, farming households could gain firmer financial footing.

He stressed that delays in MSME loans must be reduced. To achieve this, he recommended wider use of CGTMSE cover, digital assessment systems, and cluster-based lending. These steps, he said, would ease working-capital gaps and support enterprise stability.

Telangana Rising 2047 urges banks to close digital gaps

The Deputy Chief Minister asked banks to address gaps in digital financial inclusion, insurance reach, and PMJDY coverage. Since Telangana moved toward a future-ready model, he said banks must shift from transactional roles to broader partnerships. Ultimately, he urged all institutions to help make the coming decade one of the most decisive periods in Telangana’s development story.
