Hyderabad: The Telangana government has disbursed ₹6,405 crore within four days under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, delivering Kharif season input assistance directly to over 62.4 lakh farmers’ accounts.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who launched the payments on June 16 from the Rythu Nestham platform, had pledged to complete a ₹9,000 crore transfer within nine days. The Finance Department is releasing funds daily, and the Agriculture Department is executing account-wise credits based on verified landholding data.
By Thursday evening, all eligible farmers with landholdings up to five acres had received input support at a rate of ₹6,000 per acre. The scheme has so far covered 1.06 crore acres.
Breakdown of beneficiaries by landholding:
– Up to 1 acre: 24.22 lakh farmers
– Up to 2 acres: 17.02 lakh farmers
– Up to 3 acres: 10.45 lakh farmers
– Up to 4 acres: 6.33 lakh farmers
– Up to 5 acres: 4.43 lakh farmers
Today, the government is set to credit payments to farmers with up to six acres under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. Under the annual support structure of ₹12,000 per acre—split between Kharif and Rabi—these beneficiaries will receive ₹36,000 for their landholdings.
The fast-track disbursal has been widely welcomed by the farming community. Officials have called the process a record-setting exercise in terms of scale and speed of direct benefit transfers.
