HYDERABAD: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has responded to recent remarks made by Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, emphasising that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will not alter its established protocols for any individual. Speaking at a meeting with central and state officials regarding enemy properties at Tourism Plaza in Hyderabad, Sanjay stated that decisions concerning party committees at the state, district, mandal, and booth levels are made based on guidelines issued by the party leadership. He highlighted that these committees are formed following a systematic procedure and existing rules.
Sanjay suggested that any grievances should be addressed internally and made it clear that party regulations will not be modified for a single person. He acknowledged that MLA Raja Singh might be feeling distressed and praised him as a commendable leader dedicated to the Hindu cause. Sanjay also cautioned against individuals who might be provoking Singh and advised them to refrain from doing so.
In a related context, Sanjay challenged the Congress party to engage in a debate regarding the caste of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the religion of Rahul Gandhi. He proposed that this issue could serve as a referendum in the upcoming MLC elections. Sanjay criticised the Congress government for including Muslims in the Backward Classes (BC) list, leading to public dissent.
He accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of diverting attention from this issue by making controversial statements about the Prime Minister’s caste. Sanjay firmly stated that the central government would not approve reservations based on religion and urged the removal of Muslims from the BC list to facilitate central approval.
